Blue Sky Career Consulting provides career development and support services to individuals and businesses. We believe in helping and enabling people to fulfil their career ambitions, achieve their goals and maximise their potential.

Our services include career coaching, resume and cover letter writing, interview training, job search coaching, LinkedIn coaching and profile writing, and outplacement support. Each session is individually tailored to suit your personal career requirements and has a practical focus on action planning and results.

JULIE KNOX

Career Consultant / Director

Blue Sky Career Consulting was established in 2013 by Career Consultant, Julie Knox. Julie's ambition was to create a career support organisation that provides a personalised approach, understanding that each individual has a unique career journey. Julie's background spans a 20 year career within Human Resources and Learning & Development, and for the last 7 years has worked successfully as a dedicated Career Consultant.

Julie’s corporate background encompasses both the private and public sectors where she has worked within the Health, Finance, Investments and Education industries as well as for Local Council and Government.

Julie’s passion for career development began as part of a personal journey. After being made redundant in 2004, she received outplacement support which she found enormously beneficial. From there Julie began to transition her own career into providing career services for others, utilising her skills and experience within Human Resources and People Management and supplementing these with Learning & Development and Coaching experience. Julie is a member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) and qualified with a Certificate in Career Development, Certificate in Personnel Practice (CIPD), Certificate in Training Practice (CIPD), Certificate in Coaching and an Advanced Diploma in Business.

 

SHERIDAN HAWKINS

Career Consultant

Sheridan is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) and an experienced Career Coach. Sheridan’s professional background has focused on Recruitment and HR where she has had a successful 10 year career in both in-house and external recruitment roles. She has worked across a diverse range of industries and sectors including Education, Office Management & Administration, Insurance, Architecture, and Financial Services, and has helped clients at all corporate levels from junior roles through to Executive Search.

Her consistent passion throughout her career has been to help people identify their career goals, and equip them with the tools, techniques and confidence to achieve their passion. Sheridan has extensive experience enabling clients to find the right roles, reviewing and creating resumes and cover letters, coaching and mentoring, and providing interview training and networking and salary advice. 

Qualified with a Bachelor of Social Science degree (Human Resources) and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Careers Education & Development from RMIT, she keeps up to date with industry best practice and has a wide established network across the Sydney region. Her approach is supportive yet practical, and she enjoys nothing more than seeing clients succeed in their job search.

SUE RICE

Resume, Cover Letter and LinkedIn Writer

Sue is an accomplished Resume Writer. She has a substantial corporate background in Communications, PR and Media combined with 6 years as a professional English language tutor and academic advisor. 

 

Sue creates compelling resumes and cover letters that open doors for our our clients. She delves deep into each client's unique career journey and their individual roles, then articulates their skills and strengths, matching them to the employer's requirements and reflecting their professional potential to its fullest.
 

Qualified with a BSc Hons degree in Linguistics, Sue is an accomplished communications professional with 20 years experience. She has advised corporate leaders on their communications strategies, created high profile media relations campaigns, and been published in quality regional UK newspapers.
